Delta was also prepared, scoring one goal in the first half and adding three more in the second to take a 4-1 win.
After losing one to the Dinos in Price, the Spartans went on the road for a tournament in St. George, where they collected their first win over Millard 3-1. The next day they faced Pineview and were handed an 8-0 loss. Emery was looking forward to earning a win at home.
Delta scored a single goal in the first half and held the Spartans scoreless, going into halftime down 1-0.
All the action happened at the end of the first half. Korbin Spears kicked the ball from nearly midfield and snuck it just past the goalie for Delta to tie things up at 1-1. The Rabbits added three goals in the second half to take a 4-1 win, sending the Spartans to 1-3 this season.
Spears scored the only goal for Emery in the contest.
Emery will return on Friday when they travel to Manti to face the Templars.
