013-20

Carbon Dino boy’s soccer was on the road on Wednesday in Mt. Pleasant for a region contest against North Sanpete. Carbon has been playing fantastically this season, which continued against the Hawks with a 3-0 win, moving to 3-0. The Dinos have yet to allow a goal this season.

The Dinos started the season with a big win over Emery 7-0 and followed up with another region win over Canyon View 3-0. Wednesday, they took on the North Sanpete Hawks, which they were able to defeat in both of their meetings last season.

The first half was all about the Dinos, as they were able to connect with the back of the net twice. Defensively, they kept the Hawks scoreless, and they went into halftime up 2-0.

In the final half, Carbon focused on keeping everything in front of them, turning back the Hawks at every scoring opportunity. They added one more goal, going up 3-0, and registered another shutout this season in the victory.

Tyler Morris collected two goals for Carbon. Luke Brady had a goal and an assist, Drake Chappell had another assist and Cannon Mortenson earned his third shutout to start the season.
