Sally Gadd Jacobson, 78, passed away on March 11, 2025 after a courageous struggle with the Alzheimer’s disease. She was born December 14, 1946 to James “Hal” and Lena Barton Gadd in Provo, Utah.  She eloped and married her soulmate Jay Jacobson in Elko, Nevada on December 22, 1964. They had two children, Michelle and Shane.

Sally worked as a seamstress for many years. It was approximately 1967 at Barbazon in Provo, Utah, she began her sewing career, and finishing at Koret of California in Price, Utah  in 1997.  After which she attended USU Eastern, completing her Associates Degree in Science. She ended her working career with Loveless Ash in Price, Utah with her retirement in 2018.

Sally’s heart was broken when she lost Jay in November 2020. It was apparent the two of them were a great team, her decline was almost immediate.

Sally found joy in their grandkids and great grandchildren, when they would come to visit. She loved babies, and would comment, “what a beautiful baby you have,” while sharing that big contagious smile she shared with everyone, as she walked by.  Sally was our social butterfly and she made many lifelong friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Jacobson; parents, Hal and Lena Gadd; and son, Shane Jacobson

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Robert) Sidwell; brother, Jim (Kathy) Gadd; daughter-in-law, Wende (Chance) Rasmussen; grandsons, Derick (Danielle) Gale, Tyler Gale, Conner (Shana) Jacobson, Shey Hamilton, Jace Hamilton, Garrick (Nicki) Sidwell, Dallyn (Jessica) Sidwell, Kaden (Madeline) Sidwell, Cailee (Adam) Barney; and 13 great-grandchildren.
