017-21

The Carbon Dinos continue to stack wins, running their win streak to four to open the season with another convincing win, this time topping the Juab Wasps 4-1 Friday afternoon in Price.

Tied 1-1 at the end of the first half, the Dinos outscored the Wasps 3-0 over the final 40 minutes of play to remain unbeaten.

In the region win, Luke Brady found the back of the net twice, running his season total to six. Dayton King also scored two goals and registered one assist.

Friday’s win gives Carbon one of the best starts in program history. The team has accumulated four wins, outscoring opponents 17-1.

Next week, Carbon can solidify its Region 12 lead on a key two-game road trip. Wednesday, the Dinos will travel to Delta to meet the Rabbits, who have been competitive with two shoot out losses to Canyon View and Richfield. The road swing will end Friday against Richfield, who’s only loss this season came to Juab.

The next home game will be Wednesday, March 26, against the Manti Templars, the final game of the first round of region play.
