The Emery Spartans remain in search of their first region win of the season following an 8-0 loss to the Manti Templars on the road Friday afternoon.

Taylor Dettinger and Tommy Bridges registered hat tricks to lead the Templars in the win. Manti held a 3-0 advantage at the end of the first half and put the game away with five goals in the second to move to 2-0 in Region 12 play.

Friday’s loss drops Emery to 1-5 on the season and 0-3 in division play.

The Spartans will now prepare for a busy week, playing three games in five days.

Monday, Emery will host the North Sanpete Hawks. The team will then travel to Cedar City for a meeting with the Canyon View Falcons on Wednesday, before hosting the Juab Wasps on March 21.
