
Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, Alice Lavina Foote Jewkes, age 83, passed away on March 14, 2025 at Parkdale Health and Rehab in Price.
She was born May 22, 1941 in Huntington, Utah to Oscar and Zadella Alice Marshall Foote. She grew in the small mining town of Castle Gate. She married Dale Merkley Jewkes on July 23, 1962 in Preston, Idaho; they were later sealed in the Manti Temple on July 21, 1964.
Alice was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in various callings, including a stake mission in the Helper, Utah Stake and as a temple worker in the Manti Temple. She loved spending time with her family, camping, crocheting and bowling.
Alice will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband Dale Jewkes, children, Lori (Lynn) Bryson, Linda (Lee) Prettyman, all of Price, Utah; 6 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Alice is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Irwin Lanell, Olive Yuvonne, Ina Loreen, Carol Ellen, and Norma May; her children Della, Sherri Lynn, and Robert Dale; grandchildren Dallen J, Lee Roy Jr., and Matthew Spencer; and great-grandchild Kinderlyn.

Funeral service, Monday, March 24, 2025, 11:00 a.m., Carbonville Ward Chapel (1985 West 4000 North) in Spring Glen. Family will receive friends at Mitchell Funeral Home Sunday evening from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the church Monday one hour prior to service. Burial will be in the Huntington City Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. under the trusted care of Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington.
