Emery Spartan softball is starting its drive toward the playoffs, and they seem to be putting things together. Coming off of back-to-back wins, they faced Delta on Friday and used a four-run second inning to hand the Rabbits a 10-0 loss.

Emery moves to 5-5 overall with the win, and they are a perfect 4-0 in Region 12.

Emery put runs on the board in four of five innings, starting in the first when they plated two. The second inning was when they found their stride as they would put four runs on the scoreboard and then follow that up with three in the third. Up 9-0 in the fifth, they would add one more to take a 10-run lead and the 10-0 win in five innings.

Elly Stilson went 1-3 with three runs scored and an RBI. Kallee Lake was 2-2, and Bailey Luke was 2-2 with an RBI in the win.

Lake got the start going three innings and striking out six. Rheagan Rhoten went the rest of the way, giving up one hit and struck out four.

The Lady Spartans have a busy week ahead of them starting on Tuesday when they travel to North Sanpete. On Friday, they will take on the Canyon View Falcons in Castle Dale, and then they will travel to Richfield for a one-day tournament where they will face San Juan, Beaver, and Juan Diego.
