Looking for their second win this season, the Spartan soccer team welcomed Juab to Castle Dale on Friday. Juab entered the match with a 3-4 overall mark and was trying to get to .500 this season. At the end of the match, the Wasps had their wish granted, handing Emery a 3-0 loss.

The Spartans are 1-7 overall and still searching for their first region win. Emery’s lone win came from the St. George tournament when it defeated Millard.

Juab jumped out quickly, taking a 3-0 lead in the first half, and never looked back, taking that lead into halftime. In the second half, they kept the Spartans at arm’s length and off the scoreboard to collect their fourth win this season.

Emery will return on the field on Wednesday when they travel to Richfield to take on the 4-4 Wildcats.

The Spartans welcome Carbon to Castle Dale on Friday, when the Dinos will bring their 6-0 record.
