Mike passed away at his home in Helper, Utah on March 22, 2025. He was 58. He was born October 11, 1966, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Brent and Jolene Sartori.
He married Tamera Royel in July 1986; they had one child and later divorced. Mike married Sheila Ann Roland in October 1991 they had two children together and were together until Sheila’s passing in 2006. He never remarried but chose to spend the rest of his life with Jenifer Sindar since 2009.
Mike grew up in the Salt Lake valley and spent most of his adult life there; he later moved to Helper for his kids. He spent the rest of his life in Helper.
Mike loved the outdoors. If you couldn’t find him at home, you could find him wandering the desert or mountains looking for minerals. He loved spending summers camping, hiking, and fishing. He had a great love and appreciation for the Uinta Mountains and Southeastern Utah. He also enjoyed traveling the country with his life partner in the passenger seat of her semi. He was a notable member of the Helper Clamper Hall and committed much of his time to marking historical sites throughout the county. Mike enjoyed a love of loud 80s hairbands, especially around the campfire.
Mike spent the last decade enjoying time with his grandchildren. They were his whole world. You couldn’t tell him no to anything, because he would just tell you “You can’t tell grandpa no” when it came to spoiling them.
Mike is survived by his three children, Ashlee and Ty (Tooele), Cherokee and Marcus Carlucci (Helper), Stacey and Cory Overton (Wyoming); siblings, Debbie Sartori (Helper), Kathy Sartori (Price); half-siblings, Sean and Audra; grandchildren, Arianna Carlucci, Marcus Carlucci III, and Bailey and Kyli Overton; nephews, Cameron and Kristina, Matthew and JoJo; and life partner, Jenifer Sindar.
Preceded in death by his parents, Brent Sartori and Jolene Sartori; wife, Sheila Sartori; brother-in-law, Louis Bay; in-laws, Guy and Nancy Waddoups; best friend, Bobby; and granddaughter, Sylee.
