It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister, grandmother and friend. Phyllis Callas Stavar Christenson, age 93, passed away March 20, 2025 in Price, Utah. She was born January 31, 1932 in Spring Canyon, Utah to William Callas Sr. and Joan Riccardo Callas.

Phyllis loved traveling, shopping, and spending time with her kids and grandkids. She had a passion for jewelry, fashion and the finer things in life, but treasured her family most. We could always count on Gram to show up for every birthday, game, recital, and event. She was always proud to support her family and worked diligently to do so. Although Phyllis is gone, she will live in our hearts forever.

She is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Chad Tabor), Frankie (Kerry Jensen); sons-in-law, Johnny Mahleres and Gary Gettler; sisters, Sonja Dods (John), Goldie Drollinger (Steve); grandchildren, Kerry Romero, Michael Felice, Christy Felice, Nicole Mahleres, Justin Zaccaria, Khristopher and Tanner Jensen; great-grandchildren, Anthony and Vinnie Romero, Colton and Haley Felice, Koda and Demi Smith, Bo Zaccaria, Reagan, Korbin and Sofia Jensen; along with many loving great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members.

Preceded in death by her husband, Frank Stavar; daughters, Judy Gettler and Nancy Mahleres; grandson, Baby Mahleres; brothers, Bill, John, Jim and Tom Callas, Louis Paul and Dennis Spensko.

The family will hold a private service to celebrate Phyllis’s life on Tuesday March 25, 2025.
