Emery soccer ended its regular season on Thursday when the Richfield Wildcats came to Castle Dale. The Spartans got on the board in the first half, but Richfield tied it up and took the lead in the second half to earn the 2-1 win.

Emery ends the regular season 1-16 overall and completed their Region 12 schedule 0-14. The season ends on April 22. On Wednesday, April 23, the Utah High School Activities Association will release the final RPI and the bracket for the State Championships that will begin on April 25 at home sites.

In the first half, Emery’s Kysler Kofford scored the Spartans’ lone goal. In the second half, however, the Wildcats scored a pair of goals and defensively kept Emery off the scoreboard to earn the 2-1 lead.

With this being the Spartans’ last home game of the season, Emery celebrated its seniors, Chase Hanson, Jacob Stewart, and Mason Potter.
