On April 19, 2025 our beloved Marilyn Pero Lauriski began her journey into eternal peace and was finally able to rid herself of all the pain and suffering she had endured for so long. She entered this world on May 29, 1952 in Price, Utah to Dominic “Doc” Pero and Elaine Anderson Pero.
On October 26, 1974 she married her love, her best friend, and her life companion David D. Lauriski in Dragerton, Utah. Together they had two remarkable and loving children, Nikki and David R. Lauriski.
Marilyn’s aspirations in life were only to be the best mom, wife, grandmother and friend that anyone could ever have. She achieved that and so much more, even through the battles of living with and enduring a terrible brain disease for two decades. She will always be remembered for her infectious laugh, quick wit and her strength and determination to remain with her family for as long as she could. Wherever life took her, she was quick to make lifelong friends who gave her so much support and love. While there are too many to name, please know that Marilyn and Dave are so eternally grateful to all of you.
Marilyn is survived by her best friend and loving husband, Dave; her children, Nikki of Parker, Colorado, David (Audrey) of Littleton, Colorado; and the shining lights of her life, her grandchildren, Ellie, Drea, Vinny, Josie and Rory. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews and cousins, all of whom she treasured.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dominic and Elaine Pero; her sister, Susie; and her in-laws, Frank and Florence Lauriski. The family would like to give particular thanks to Mesa View Home and Hospice Care in Mesquite, Nevada for their devotion and dedication to caring for and comforting Marilyn at her home in Mesquite during her last few months of life. These caregivers are true angels who will never be forgotten.
Arrangements are entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price, Utah where friends and family are welcome to share memories of Marilyn online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net. A celebration of her life will occur at a later date.
