Price City News Release
The Price City Downtown Committee is proud to announce the appointment of Megan Marshall as the new Director of the Price City Downtown District.
Having grown up in Carbon County since elementary school, Marshall is deeply rooted in the community. For over 20 years, she has poured her energy into building programs, creating opportunities, and strengthening the connections between local businesses, city leaders, and residents.
She has a reputation for stepping up when there’s a need—founding the Price City Renaissance Festival, the Carbon County Mammoths Youth Ice Hockey Team, and the Price Boys & Girls Club from scratch. She has also been a long-time volunteer with the Price City International Days Festival for over a decade and has served as the City Parade Coordinator for both St. Patrick’s Day and International Days parades for over 10 years. Most recently, she was appointed as the first official Price City Event Coordinator.
Marshall’s appointment as Downtown District Director is focused on rebuilding trust, strengthening collaboration, and continuing the forward momentum created by countless local volunteers, city leaders, and small business owners who have worked tirelessly to shape the district.
“This isn’t about starting from zero—it’s about honoring the strong foundation that’s already been laid,” Marshall said. “So many incredible people have given their time and heart to this cause. I’m here to listen, to support, and to bring people together who share the vision of a vibrant, connected, and growing downtown.”
Supported by her current employer, Intermountain Electronics—where she will continue to serve as a corporate recruiter—Marshall takes on this new position with the full encouragement of a company that values and supports community engagement. Throughout her career, she has also been championed by longtime employers such as Sutherlands and The Tony Basso Group of Companies. Marshall brings with her a wealth of experience, strong leadership, and deep-rooted community relationships that will serve the Downtown District well.
In this position, Marshall will serve as a bridge between the downtown business community and the City of Price, helping strengthen relationships and create shared momentum. With the support of the city mayor and members of the Price City Council, and the Downtown Committee, the goal is to ensure that Main Street businesses feel heard, represented, and empowered.
Early priorities for the Downtown District include:
- Re-launching initiatives like “Adopt-a-Street”
- Expanding and enhancing downtown events
- Offering support for façade and infrastructure improvements
- Helping businesses access grants and funding opportunities
- Strengthening communication between businesses, the city, the county and the community
Marshall is also seeking additional business owners & employees to join the Downtown Committee and help form a Board of Directors, which would expand representation and make the district eligible for greater grant funding opportunities.
The committee meets the first Wednesday of every month at 8:00 AM, in person at Price City Hall (Room 207) and virtually. Meetings are open to the public, and all downtown business owners are encouraged to attend, share feedback, and get involved.
Current Committee Members include:
- Kari Richardson – Apple Country Home
- Michael Kourianos – Price City Mayor
- Amy Jespersen – City Councilwoman
- Terry Willis – City Councilwoman
- Nathaniel Woodward – Woodward Law
- Gregg & Becky Driggs – Driggs Mortgage
- Amanda Piaz – Marketing Elevated

“I’ve chosen to stay in Price and dedicate myself to helping it grow—because this is where I’m rooted,” Marshall added. “And none of this would be possible without the support of city and county leadership, our amazing local businesses, the dedicated people I work alongside, and my patient and supportive family and friends. This is about all of us—building something lasting, together.”
