On Wednesday, the Lady Dinos hit the road to face the Richfield Wildcats in a region tilt. This was the second meeting between the two teams, and Carbon would collect the series sweep with an 11-1 win.

When the Wildcats came to Price in March, the Lady Dinos earned a 10-1 win. With the win on Wednesday, they moved to 9-14 overall with a 6-6 mark in league play. They now sit in the No. 9 spot in the latest RPI ranking.

After a quiet first inning, the Lady Dinos got on the board in the second off a Sage Vea sacrifice fly that brought home Harli Heugly. Carbon moved the score to 2-0 in the fourth as Kadence Vea sent a pop fly to second, bringing in Shayla Penovich. The Wildcats would get on the board in the fourth, cutting the Carbon lead in half, 2- 1.

Carbon put on a scoring clinic in the fifth inning. With the score at 5-1 and one out on the board, Sage Vea stepped up with two on and sent a line drive to right field, scoring Heugly and Brailee Petersen. Lacie Gregersen would come in to run for Sage Vea, and Kadence Vea stepped up to the plate with a line drive to center to bring her home, and to put the score at 8-1. Carbon added one more run in the inning, pushing their lead to 9-1.

The Lady Dinos added a pair of runs in the sixth, and then Danica Adams sat down the Wildcats in the bottom of the frame to give them the 11-1 win.

Sage Vea led the way for Carbon, going 2-3 with four RBIs. Kadence Vea was 2-4 with a pair of RBIs and a run scored, and Kennlee Kennedy was 2-4 with two runs scored and an RBI.

Adams had another outstanding performance with the complete game win, giving up one run on three hits and striking out 16.

The Lady Dinos are back on the field on Friday with a double-header at the Delta Rabbits.
