Over the weekend, the Spartan track and field team spent time in Orem and Delta. Hannah Farley went to Delta for the Signature Real Estate Invite, and the team went to the Tiger Trials. At the Trials, the Lady Spartans finished 13 out of 36 schools.

American Fork won the girls’ division with 127 points, followed by Park City with 118. Timpview (78), Orem (74), and Uintah (72) rounded out the top five. Emery finished 13th with 54 points.

Gentry Christiansen earned a first-place finish in the 1600 with her time of 4:56.45. Skylee Guymon took the top spot in the 300-meter hurdles in a time of 43.88. Addyson Guymon finished in third in the 3200.

At the Delta Signature Real Estate Invitational, Hannah Farley competed in the 800 meters, finishing 15th, and the 1600 meters, taking 10th.

On the boys’ side, Boise took the top spot at the Tiger Trials with 218 points, and American Fork took second with 206. Lone Peak (88), Timpview (84), and Herriman (69) rounded out the top five. Emery did not place.

Devon Byars finished 13th in the discus.

The Spartans return to the track this weekend at the BYU Invitational.
