In the first game, both teams were quiet; Carbon finally broke the ice in the third when Kennlee Kennedy stepped up to the plate with two on, and Alexa Jones scored on a pair of wild pitches. Kennedy sent a high fly ball to the infield, reaching on an error by the second baseman and allowing Aleece Ardohain to score. The next batter up was Brailee Peterson, who singled to right, driving in Kennedy to get the score to 3-0.

The Dinos added three more in the fourth, starting with Andee Wood’s triple to right, driving in Bella Nelson. Delta added their only run in the bottom of the fourth.

Carbon came up to the plate in the sixth with the score at 6-1. Jones sent a grounder to right field with the bases loaded, scoring Sage Vea and Shayla Penovich. The Lady Dinos would get on the board from a Kennedy double driving in Ardohain. Peterson came up to the plate and with another double scored Kennedy from second. A few batters later, Sage Vea stepped up to the plate and, with the third double of the inning, drove in Peterson and Adams, tying the score at 4-4.  Sage Vea scored on an error by the catcher to give Carbon the one-run lead, 5-4.

Delta returned in the second to reclaim the lead, 9-5, and Carbon added one in the inning. The Rabbits came up in the third and exploded again for six runs to push their lead to 15-6, but then the Lady Dinos would shut them down and get to work themselves.

Carbon cut the Delta lead to 15-9 by the end of the fourth, but the Lady Dinos shined in the sixth and seventh innings. With the score 15-11, with two on, Adams came to the plate, and Jones scored on a passed ball. Adams sent a fly ball to right, reaching on an error, and Peterson scored to get the Dinos within two at 15-13.

In the bottom of the seventh, the Dinos tied things up with a Jones grounder that brought in Nelson. After a walk of Ardohain, Kennedy hit a sacrifice fly to left field, driving in Jones to give the Lady Dinos the 16-15 win.
