Looking to spice up your kitchen as we enter the summer months? Look no further than Utah State University Extension’s Quick and Easy cook-along class. The class gives participants the opportunity to learn how to make delicious meals for friends and family to enjoy. Harim Driggs from USU Extension Better Health joined the KOAL newsroom to preview this event and other upcoming cooking classes in the Castle Country.
“This time we’re going to do an Indian chicken wrap. This one is kind of like one of my background’s expertise. I worked for a while in an Indian restaurant back in California,” explained Driggs. “I think the use of the spices can help enhance the flavors of your food while still keeping it on a budget and healthy. So that’s what I want to kind of focus on.”
This rendition of the class will be held on Wednesday, May 28, at 6 p.m. in the USU Extension office in Price. Space is limited, so early registration is recommended. Registration is $5 and is available online here.
Continuing the class, Driggs shared the goal Better Health seeks to accomplish: ” We want to prevent illnesses, chronic illnesses. We want people to have a healthy life in our county so they can pass on this information to their kids and that we can help people stretch their money and have a healthy life overall.”
In closing, Driggs stated,” Just come over, have fun, and learn to stay healthy. And also follow us on social media. We have a lot more classes and a lot more going on.”
