The Emery Lady Spartans track squad has had a season of personal bests, school records, and state records, so it’s no wonder they are confident heading into the State Championships on Friday and Saturday at Brigham Young University.

Nine Lady Spartans members and one boys’ team representative will attend the final meet of the 2025 season.

All eyes will be on Skylee Guymon and the four events that she is registered for: the 100—and 300-meter hurdles. She holds the 3A state record in the 300 with a time of 42.93. She will also participate in the 200-meter and the 4×400-meter relay. Addie Hurst will compete in five events, looking to continue her great season in the 800, 1600, and 3200 meters. She will be a part of the 4×400 relay and the sprint medley relay for Emery.

Addy Guymon and Gentry Christiansen will join Addie Hurst in the 800, 1600, and 3200-meter relays and the 4×400-meter relay. Carlie Hurst will join Skylee Guymon in the 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles. She will also take part in the 4×100 and sprint medley relays. Molly Christiansen will compete in four events: three relays (4×100, 4×400, and sprint medley) and the 400-meter dash.

Kabree Gordon will compete in five events: the 100, 300, and 200-meter hurdles, the 4×100 relay, and the long jump. Megan Stilson and Hallie Frandsen will compete in the high jump and the 4×100. Stilson will also compete in the sprint medley relay.

Devon Byars is the lone team member of the boys’ track and field team to head to the competition, competing in the discus.

Check back with Castle Country Radio starting Friday for the latest updates as soon as we have them from the 3A State Championships.
