Images of the Tiger Woods PGA or PGA2k series come to mind when one thinks of virtual golf. Despite their entertainment, they don’t provide the full thrill of holding a club in your hand and taking a swing. Elevated Fairways looks to fix this by allowing players to play some of the most iconic venues in golf from the comfort of their home.

Elevated Fairways accomplishes this task through a portable golf simulator, which can be rented for birthday parties, corporate events or casual weekends. Founder Hyrum Morley and the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce celebrated this new venture with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, May 17.

“This is Elevated Fairways, it’s a portable golf simulator,” explained Morley. “So for any events, parties or reunions you have, we’ll set it up indoors or outdoors … Another thing is we are sponsoring the Castle Country Virtual Golf League, where we will be hosting competitions once a month.”

Morley then cut the ribbon – officially welcoming Elevated Fairways to the area.

In a previous interview with Castle Country Radio, Morley explained what inspired him to start the business,” I want to bring more happiness here. I always hear, especially from high school and college-aged kids, that there’s hardly anything to do in Carbon and Emery … I wanted to add to the wide variety of things we can do in Carbon County, but also just build an experiential business that can benefit kids my age because I know that I would use something like this.”
