The Emery Lady Spartan golf team closed out the season at the State Championships on May 7, closing out the season on day one, as the team missed the cut. This year, the team consisted of just five players, and since the team scoring takes the top four scorers, there wasn’t a lot of room for error.

Emery will lose just one player to graduation, Claire Lindsey, but golfers like Lydia Larsen, who started to come on at the end of the season, Clarissa Beagley, Avey Beagley, and Ella Kelly were all underclassmen who are capable of picking up the mantle in 2026.

Below are recaps of the matches this season.

After the rescheduling of what should have been the season opener last week in Delta, Carbon and Emery girls’ golf got started in earnest on Wednesday in Nephi at the Canyon Hills course, the home of the Juab Wasps.
