Alicia Martinez, age 35, received her wings on May 19, 2025 after a 6-month valiant battle with a rare form of Leukemia that has left a mark on all our hearts, but most of all, her precious daughter Rorie.

Alicia was born on February 7, 1990, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Anna Martinez. She graduated from Summit High School, American Fork, UT in 2008. Her true joy was spending every waking moment with her daughter Rorie and her family. Alicia lived for tomorrow, always making plans, and calling her aunts & uncles daily. She didn’t have much or ever wanted for much, and in turn, was very giving to anyone that needed it. She always made sure to celebrate anything with everyone and doing her best to whip up a meal giving it her all, even if the fire alarm went off during her many attempts. Her best and most favorite meal to prepare each year was “Ceviche” for her brother David on his birthday. She truly was “Her Brother’s Keeper”.

Alicia loved staying up late watching Fright Fests – any scary movie – the blankets would be rolled out, and the popcorn popped as she knew her mother would be next to her watching and screaming together. Movie nights were her thing as it brought togetherness with her brother David, Rhionna, and their kids.  The love and devotion she portrayed to her daughter Rorie a.k.a. “Smurf” was profound. Rorie never went without and had a shoe collection for every outfit she wore. Her jobs at Subway & Holiday Oil/Gas brought her true friendships that we got to witness. She had a zest for life, and everything it brought, from trips every summer to Lagoon to swimming in almost every pool she saw. She will leave her laughter in our ears, her infectious smile in our eyes, and the love for everyone she met, in our hearts.
