Raymond “Ray” Leroy Jones, age 80, passed away peacefully at his home in Carbonville on Thursday, June 5, 2025, with his wife Renee by his side after a courageous battle with cancer.
Ray was born in Price, Utah, on July 24, 1944, and was raised in Helper UT. He attended schools in Carbon County and graduated from Carbon High School in Price. He attended College of Eastern Utah in Price and Weber State University in Ogden.
He married Billene McKendrick who predeceased him in November 2014. In later years, after a trip to Nevada, he met Renee Rudolph and happily spent the rest of his life with her. Their time was divided between their home in Carbonville and a home in Beaver Dam, Arizona. Ray was always proud of his yard, peonies and his truck!
Ray worked several jobs before being employed at Utah Power & Light. He worked there 20+ years and retired as a trainer. He was known as being a hard worker and always went above and beyond to help anyone in need.
Survived by Renee; loving Shih Tzu Fluffy; brother, Ralph (Dee) Dyett, Price; and many loving nieces and nephews and a community of friends.
Per Ray’s wishes; no services will take place at this time.
Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Ray online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
