Carbon County Office of Tourism News Release

PRICE, Utah (June 2025) – The 49th Annual Rocky Mountain Mine Rescue Association Mine Rescue Contest is set to take place June 23–26, 2025, at Utah State University Eastern in Price, Utah. This four-day event will bring together mine rescue teams from across the Rocky Mountain region to compete in a series of critical, skill-based challenges.

Contests will include the Mine Rescue Field Contest, First-Aid Contest, Bench Contest, Pre-shift Contest, and Team Tech Contest, all designed to test emergency preparedness, technical knowledge, and team coordination under pressure.

The community of Price is proud to welcome the participants, their families, and supporters. Local restaurants, hotels, and small businesses are encouraged to help create a welcoming environment for guests who are traveling to compete and support this important work. If your business would like to offer any discounts or specials during the event, please reach out to the Carbon County Office of Tourism, who will help promote those offerings to the Mine Rescue Association and its participants.
