
On July 11 & 12, Diamond H Rodeo and the Grassy Trails Riding Club will present the 74th Annual Sunnyside Rodeo. With plenty of great entertainment and kids’ events, it’s sure to be one to remember.
Diamond H will once again provide the stock for the event at the Sunnyside Arena. Those interested in participating in the rodeo entries will open on June 30 and close on July 5. To register, download the Next Gen Rodeo app (QR codes below) or click HERE for a link online.
Over the last weekend, they crowned the royalty that will be a part of this year’s rodeo: Queen Kinley Taylor from Ferron, First Attendant Braylee Ring from Miller Creek, and Jayclyn Stansfield of Huntington earned Second Attendant. Aspen Moosman of East Carbon is this year’s Princess.
Both evenings, the event will start at 8:00 p.m., and plenty of fun for the kiddos will start at 6:30 with Jackpot Jr. Barrels, which will have three different divisions: 6 and under, 7-12, and 13 and over. At 7:00, the Mutton Bustin will begin for 4-7 year olds, 60 pounds or less. Both events have an entry fee of $5. Blanton’s Mini Bulls will provide stock for these events.
At half-time, there will be the Chicken Chase for 4-7 year olds and the Dash for Cash for 8-14 year olds. Not to leave out the adults, they will also be a part of the fun. On Friday night, it will be the Buddy Barrel race for those eight and older; on Saturday, for those 15 and up, it will be the Hide Race.
Admission is $10 for those 18 and up, $5 for those 7-17, and free for those six and under
