In less than a month, Price City will host its annual International Days celebration, featuring parades, entertainment, and a variety of outstanding food. Additionally, there will be plenty of sporting events, including disc golf, basketball, cornhole, and a 5K, for everyone to participate in.

Things will get underway on Thursday, July 24, when the Disc Golf tournament opens for play.  The tournament, as in past years, is sponsored by USU Eastern and will take place on the campus course, as well as in Pioneer Park. It will run through the 26th, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.. Cameron West, Student Life Coordinator for USUE, explains how things will run this year.

“This time I’m opening it up for all three days, you can register on the app (click HERE), players may card up to two rounds during the three days, and we will keep the best score.

If you are interested in this event, there are eight different divisions, and participation is free of charge. If you have questions, you can reach West at (435) 613-5468.

Next up, on Thursday evening, the annual 5K is set to take place. Carbon County Recreation is handling the organization, and a $20 fee is required to enter. Check-in will start at 7:30 p.m. and the race begins at 8:00 p.m.. You can register by clicking HERE.

Friday night, 3-on-3 basketball will take over Main Street in Price, from Carbon Avenue to First West, for the First Annual Legends After Dark tournament, being put on by the Carbon High School basketball team.

With 10 different divisions ranging from third grade to 30 and older, everyone will have the opportunity to show off their skills. The third grade and under division is co-ed, but starting with the 4th-6th grade divisions, there will be both boys’ and girls’ classes. Grade level divisions will be determined by the year they start in the fall of 2025. The adult division will also feature both men’s and women’s teams.

Participation costs $25 per player, and registration is now open. Click HERE for the link to register.
