Continuing its ongoing mission to support the Emery County Community, the WildBunch Bike Family is preparing to host their annual benefit bike show in conjunction with Huntington’s Heritage Days on Friday, July 4.
Representing the bike family, Don Gardner joined the KOAL newsroom to discuss the event and what the group aims to accomplish with the funds raised.
“It’s just to get together all our bikers in Carbon and Emery County,” explained Gardner. “Our charter is set up to help children, first responders and veterans. So far this year, we’ve been able to help two children. We’re sending a donation to the Elks Riders in Vernal this weekend to support their charity, which helps foster kids. And we’ve helped a first responder and a veteran this year so far.”
Looking to bring in as much community support as possible, Gardner put out an open invitation to motorcyclists across the Castle Country,” All riders are welcome. We don’t care about the bike. It’s about the ride and showing off … We’ll have prizes and other items for the winners. And we’ll be doing ticket sales for the event to help kids.”
The show will have a minimum donation of $25 per entry. Registration opens at 9 a.m.
For those hesitant to attend, Gardner gave a push of encouragement to get involved,” It’s a great cause. Riders all across America are helping benefits all the time. This is just another way to help. And it’s fun to meet new people and experience their stories.”
Closing out our conversation, Gardner shared,” We continue to look forward to a brighter future for our communities.”
The WildBunch Bike Family’s annual benefit bike show will take place during the Huntington Heritage Days celebration on Friday, July 4, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Canyon View Middle School.
