The USU Eastern soccer team is preparing to host a trio of soccer camps in July: a boys’ ID camp, as well as striker and goalkeeping camps open to both boys and girls. The camps will be informative and will be run by the USU Eastern coaching staff.

The first camp will be a boys’ ID camp, which will give players who are in 9-12 grades this fall a chance to see what the program and USU Eastern have to offer, as well as time on the field to play with other players around the area where the staff can work with them on their strenghts and weaknesses and and learn from collegiate level coaches.  This camp will take place on July 26 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The cost is $50, which includes lunch and a t-shirt. Registration can be done HERE.

Up next is he goaltending camp. This will be instructional for both boys and girls ages 9-17. The camp will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and the cost is $79, which covers instruction, lunch, and a t-shirt. The registration can be filled out HERE.

On Tuesday, July 29, USU Eastern will host a striker camp for boys and girls ages 9-17. Both boys and girls are welcome to sign up for this camp, which will teach players how to attack the opponent’s goal and maintain composure, thereby becoming focused on scoring. The camp will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and the cost is $79, which covers instruction, lunch, and a t-shirt. The registration can be completed HERE.

Camps will be under the direction of the new USU Eastern Men’s coach, Bruce Palmbaum.

“Palmbaum arrives in Price, Utah, following a highly successful tenure at Kansas Wesleyan University, where he led the Coyotes to a 24-11-5 record over two seasons. Under his leadership, KWU made its first national tournament appearance in six years and received the NAIA Champion of Character Team award,” reads a release from USU Eastern. “His impact was immediate, guiding the program to a record-breaking turnaround, elevating them from a national ranking of #246 in 2022 to a top-30 position in 2024. In addition to his on-field achievements, Palmbaum prioritized academic excellence, overseeing 22 Daktronics scholar-athletes in 2024 and maintaining a team GPA of 3.4.”
