
Utah Department of Transportation News Release
Castle Dale – (July 7, 2025) – The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will resurface 15 miles of State Route 10 over the next six weeks. Work will take place both north and south of Huntington. One stretch will extend between Castle Dale and Huntington and the other will extend north from Huntington for approximately 7 miles.
Geneva Rock Products has been contracted to perform the work which will include repairing some bumps, applying a chip seal surface, adding new striping, and updating select signs.
Motorists should plan an extra 20 minutes of travel time for the route, follow pilot car operations, and obey the lower speeds posted through the work zone.
The contractor will be working Monday through Thursday during daylight hours between 7:00 in the morning and 7:00 in the evening. No traffic obstructions are planned for the state holiday on Thursday, July 24th.
Work is expected to be complete by August 19th.
