Casey Lynn Rich, age 26, of Wellington, Utah, passed away unexpectedly on July 6, 2025 in Huntington, Utah. Casey was born on September 8, 1998 in Price, Utah, to Claudette Anderson and Orson Rich.

From a young age, Casey had a deep love for horses and the western way of life. He formed lifelong friendships through his involvement in the Junior Riding Club and the Utah State Western Riding Club Association. He attended Lighthouse High School in Price, where he was an active member of the Carbon High School Rodeo Team. Casey competed in trap shooting and light rifle, proudly qualifying for the state competition all four years of high school.

An avid outdoorsman, Casey found peace in nature. He loved camping, hunting, fishing, and spending time under the open sky. He had a special place in his heart for animals and was known for his gentle way with them.

More than anything, Casey cherished his family. He never missed a birthday, holiday, or even a backyard barbecue. He shared a unique closeness with his cousins and treasured the memories they made growing up together.

Casey was a gentle giant—kind, loyal, and full of life. With a goofy sense of humor and a smile that could light up any room, he had a way of making people feel instantly at ease. His warmth, compassion, and joyful spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his loving parents, Claudette Rich (Shawn Sorenson) and Orson Rich (Valyn Peacock); his brother, Clayton Rich; grandparents, Lynn and Glee Anderson; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur and Edna Rich.

Casey’s life, though far too short, was filled with love, laughter, and the kind of joy that stays with those he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Funeral service, Saturday, July 12, 2025, 10:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price.  Family will receive friends at Mitchell Funeral Home Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to service. Casey will be buried in the Wellington City Cemetery.
