On Sunday, July 20, at approximately 5 p.m., authorities from across Carbon County responded to a fire at 1845 and 1855 North Carbonville Road. Destroying two trailers, the blaze burned for several hours as first responders sought to contain the flames.

Two homes were destroyed during the fire, which at one point required firefighters to utilize as many as 20 hoses to combat the blaze.

Emergency responders from the Wellington, Price, Helper and East Carbon Fire Departments, alongside Carbon County EMT, were dispatched to the scene. Also present were members of the Price City Police Department, the Helper Police Department, the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office and the Utah Highway Patrol.

First responders swarm the scene to battle the fire.

To aid the family, resident Tiffany Ferderber is seeking donations, both monetary and of clothing, to assist the family get back on their feet. In a social media post, Ferderber explains she is seeking:

  • Toddler boys size 2T, shoe size eight
  • Children’s boy size five, shoe size 11/12
  • Women’s small/medium, shoe size 7.5
  • Men’s large pants size 36, shoe size 13.

Another fundraiser being hosted by Kali Ori looks to help those impacted recover from this tragedy. ” It’s our turn to show up for someone who’s always been there for everyone else,” reads the GoFundMe organized by Ori. “After a recent surgery he still continued to work to provide for himself but taking this onto rebuild everything he once owned is more than one person can take on at a time.”

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No further details have been released.
