
Rex J. Moosman, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully at his home in Elmo, Utah, on August 6, 2025, at the age 88.
Born on May 11, 1937, in Neola, Utah, to Boyd Moosman and Beth Prescott Moosman.
Rex loved ranching and worked for Marsing’s Ranch for several years. In 1972, he went to work for Swisher Coal and in 1975 – 1995 at Plateau Mine. Rex had a passion for herding sheep and staying up on the mountain at the sheep camp. He loved his horses. Rex enjoyed roping, bareback, and saddlebronc riding. He had a special love for his grandkids and great-grandkids.
Survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Rosie Moosman; and children, Becky (Bobby) McCarthy of Bountiful, UT and Leslie (Troy) Jensen of Green River, WY.
Preceded in death by his parents; sons, John Moosman and David Fletcher; brothers, Ralph and Ken; and sister, Judy Messinger.
Funeral service, Monday, August 11, 2025, 11:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price. The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. and on Monday morning one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Price City Cemetery.
