Karoline Heaps, 74, of Colton, Utah passed away on August 8, 2025 at Parkdale Health and Rehab in Price, Utah.
Karoline was born on December 15, 1950, to Fay LeRoy Watters and Dean Phelps in Provo, Utah. They resided in Spanish Fork throughout her high school years where she learned how to play piano and the saxophone. She went on to Cedar City, Utah where she met the first love of her life, Michael Floyd Medley, and the two were married sometime in the early 70s. They produced four kids from this marriage: Michael Medley, Clarence Medley, John Medley and Richard Medley. Unfortunately, there were problems in this marriage, and they both went separate ways in the mid-70s. A few years after this she thought she found her next life partner and married Calvin Shelton. Unfortunately, this marriage ended in disaster. She lost custody of her kids over this marriage and had to divorce him in the mid-80s. She had eight years to straighten out her life; she had no time for a relationship at this time.
Sometime in the 90s, she worked for the unemployment office in Nevada, where she started rebuilding her life and relationships. She reconnected with a few of her kids in the mid to late 90s. She met her last and final husband in 2004, Kenneth Heaps, but unfortunately, he passed away in 2006. After his death, she retired and went to live in places like Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, Kingston, Oklahoma, and of course Colton, Utah. During retirement she enjoyed sewing quilting, cooking, and baking.
Karoline is survived by her sisters, Kristean Storey and Jennifer Sinder; brothers, Kevin Watters, Jonathan (Linda) Watters, Mark (Maryann) Watters, Daniel (Sandi); sons, Michael (Carol) Medley, Clarence (Becky) Medley, John (Pamela) Medley, Richard (Katie) Medley; her sons’ half-sister, Alice Medley; and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Michael Medley; last husband, Ken Heaps; brother, Richard LeRoy Watters; and sister, Faye LaDean Watters.
