As the 2026 rendition of the Mini, Little and Junior Miss Carbon County pageant rapidly approaches on Friday, Aug. 15, the current group of royalty, Mini Miss Addalynn Jones, Little Miss Paisley Jenkins and Junior Miss Taylee Brower joined the KOAL newsroom to reflect on their year in the position.
Opening our conversation was Brower, who first spoke on her service initiative,” I have a platform called the Little Voice Movement. And it’s built around making sure that kids and teens speak up, stand out, and spark positive change with their voices. So for my day of service, I went to the fourth and fifth grade classes and taught them about self-confidence.
She added,” I made a confidence slideshow with tips on it that they can share with other people about self-confidence and with kindness cards. We made kindness cards with each other so that they can pass them around and make sure that everybody feels kind and nice and feels confident that day.”
Brower also looked back on her favorite memory while serving as Junior Miss Carbon County,” I loved it at the beginning of the year with the Kiwanis Sub for Santa. I just loved seeing the little kids when we went to drop off their presents to them, letting them see their happy faces being like, “Oh, Santa Claus got me all these presents this year,’ and it was a good experience.”
Looking to the future, Brower plans to continue her pageant lifestyle,” I’m going to Miss Utah’s Teen Volunteer in October, and it’s a different pageant system, unlike Carbon County, but it’s built around service, and I’m just really excited to go at the state level.”
Closing our conversation, Brower shared advice for future Miss Carbon County royalty,” Use your time wisely and have fun and make as many connections as you can because these little sash sisters that you will have are crazy fun. They really will just keep you on your toes and keep you laughing throughout the whole thing.”
Next to the mic was Little Miss Jenkins, who shared her favorite part of the royalty experience,” My favorite part was serving our community and making a lot of friends along the way, especially with my sash sisters because they are the best.”
Jenkins also provided tips for the next Little Miss Carbon County,” The advice I would give her would be if you don’t know your sash sisters yet, you’re gonna gain a big bond with them. I didn’t really know Shalyce (Rauhala), Berkeley (Brady) or Addy (Jones). I kind of knew Taylee (Brower), but not really. But we’ve grown a big bond together.”
Closing out the trio was Mini Miss Jones, who stated,” I love the parades,” when asked what her favorite part of wearing the sash and crown was. She also shared the biggest thing she learned was to “Have fun and enjoy your time.”
Speaking to the next generation of Miss Carbon County Royalty, Jones encouraged them to” always be confident in themselves and think they can win.”
Castle Country Radio would like to thank Mini Miss Addalynn Jones, Little Miss Paisley Jenkins and Junior Miss Taylee Brower for all they have done during their time with the sash and crown and wish them luck as they engage in future endeavors.
