With heavy hearts and immense sorrow, we share the passing of our sweetheart, father, and grandfather, the best, most selfless man we’ve ever known, DeMar Dale Guymon, 67 years old of Cleveland Utah. He passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack on August 11, 2025 in Price, Utah.

Born May 27, 1958 to Otto Dal Guymon and Darlene Bell Guymon in Anaconda, Montana. After a childhood filled with mischief and adventures, he went on to marry the love of his life, Janice Ann Guymon on May 16, 1984 in the Salt Lake City Temple and raised four amazing sons together. He attended Emery High School and later built a thriving business from the ground up – Guymon’s Machining and Fabrication, Inc. – where he was able to employ and work alongside his four sons.

A devoted father, beloved grandfather, cherished husband, loyal brother, and treasured member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; DeMar was taken from us far too soon, and the void he leaves behind is immeasurable.

DeMar Dale was born with an uncanny sense of optimism and grit and lived each day with a can do attitude. Always keeping others in mind, he was selfless to the core – he would drop everything to help someone in need, no matter who they were or what time it was. He gave of himself without hesitation and without ever expecting anything in return. To be loved by him was to know unwavering support, deep compassion, and unconditional love.

A proud father of four boys, DeMar poured his heart into raising them. He was their hero, their teacher, their constant. He instilled in his boys his love for the outdoors and passion for wildlife. His love for his children and their spouses was matched only by the joy he found in being a grandfather. He was always the first one on the floor playing, telling stories, laughing the loudest and making the simplest moments unforgettable.

His grandkids adored him – he was their favorite, and they were his. There was nothing that Grandpa couldn’t fix. He had a storyteller’s soul – whether around a campfire or a kitchen table, he could hold a room with his energy and charisma filled stories. He had a passion for hunting and found immense joy in the outdoors – always accompanied by his boys.

He leaves behind a family who adored him – a wife who was his partner and best friend, four sons who strive every day to live up to the example he set, grandchildren who will carry his stories and spirit forever, and countless friends and loved ones who were blessed to know him.

He is survived in death by his wife and sweetheart, Janice Ann Guymon; sons and their wives, Trent & Chelsea Guymon (Orangeville, Utah), Craig & Whitney Guymon (Cleveland, Utah), Jace & Katelyn Guymon (Cleveland, Utah) and Cole & Shaunte’ Guymon (Cleveland, Utah); as well as his nine grandchildren with one on the way- Brooklynn, Hallie, Camden, Mckady, Nash, Drey, Emmie, Amity, Nova; brothers and sisters, Danna (Wes) Gray, Darlene (Louis) Chase, Darce (Peggy) Guymon, Debra (Dennis) Cox, and Darla (Scott) Wilson.

DeMar is preceded in death by his parents, Otto Dal & Darlene Guymon; and brother, Darwin (Dobby) Dal Guymon.

DeMar was the kind of man you only get once in a lifetime. Our hearts are broken, but our lives are fuller because of the love he gave us. His legacy will live on in the laughter of his grandchildren, the strength of his sons, and in the warmth of every memory shared by those who knew him.
