Windy conditions couldn’t stop the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce as they gathered on Thursday, Aug. 14, to welcome Stitches and Silhouettes to the folds of the Chamber.

Kim Hathaway, owner and operator of the embroidery shop, gave a peek into what the business has to offer,” We do embroidery, screen printing and we do some leather patches. Anything that can be embellished, we can probably get it done for you.” She continued,” We are open Monday through Friday, noon to 7 p.m. and on Fridays from noon to 5 p.m. We’d love to see you come in.”

Located at 150 Carbonville Road, Hathaway has been in the stitching and sewing business since 2006. Speaking to Castle Country Radio, she explained what drew her to the craft. “I’ve always enjoyed sewing. I’ve done it my whole life, and it’s just something that I got interested in, and I’ve always wanted to own a business.”

Hathaway added,” I just love the fact of putting the pieces together to make the finished product.”

As for what she most looks forward to as a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Hathaway stated,” I think that networking with all of the other businesses is going to be very beneficial and exciting to learn about the other businesses involved.”

Those interested in Stitches and Silhouettes can contact the business by phone at 435-650-2083. More information is also available on the business’s Facebook page.
