Last weekend was a busy time for the Lady Dino volleyball team with a pair of games. On Thursday, they welcomed the Juan Diego Soaring Eagle to Price, earning a 3-1 win.  On Saturday, they found themselves at the Richfield Friendly, which turned out to be not so friendly as the San Juan Broncos handed them a 3-0 loss.

The Lady Dinos sit at 2-1 this season with a little less than a month to go before they jump into region play.

On Thursday, they welcomed the Juan Diego Soaring Eagle to Jurassic Park, and the Lady Dinos were able to come away with a 3-1 win.

Carbon took care of Juan Diego in set one, taking the 25-11 win. Set two was a battle with both teams locked in as the Soaring Eagle barely edged the Dinos 30-28.

The Lady Dinos were back on track for set number three with a 25-18 victory, and the fourth and final set could have turned into another dogfight, but the Lady Dinos were able to collect the 25-22 win.

Avy Atwood came up big for Carbon in this one with 18 kills to go with 11 digs and a pair of service aces. Brailee Peterson collected 10 kills, nine digs, and three service aces. Emma Dart had 28 kills, and Laycie Gregersen added 16 digs to the Carbon win.

On Saturday, the Lady Dinos traveled to Sevier County for the Richfield Friendly to take on the San Juan Broncos. This one would not be as good as the Juan Diego contest, as Carbon fell 3-0 in straight sets.

In the opening set, San Juan came out firing, taking a 25-15 win. The second set was more Broncos with  Carbon taking the 25-11 loss. In the third, and what would be the final set, the Lady Dinos showed some signs of life, but it was too little too late, and San Juan would get the sweep with a 25-23 win.

Carbon will be back on the floor on Tuesday, as the Stansbury Stallions travel to Price for a 6:30 start.
