The Lady Dinos soccer squad made the long trip to Cedar City to face the Reds on Friday. The Reds had balanced scoring throughout, putting up a pair of goals in each half and limiting the Dinos to a pair of scores, giving Cedar the 4-2 win.

Carbon sits at 3-2 overall and was coming off a dominant win over Grantsville, 5-1.  There is still plenty of pre-season left before Carbon starts Region 13 play on September 4.

The Reds came out in the first half and blanked the Dinos, scoring twice to take a 2-0 lead at halftime. The Lady Dinos would find their offense in the second half, putting two on the board, but gave up a pair of goals to the Reds, falling 4-2 in the contest.

Blythe Bradford and Naomi Smith scored the two goals for Carbon, with Malia Smith having the assist on each. The Lady Dinos had 10 shots on goal, and in between the pipes, Madi Barlow collected 10 saves.

Carbon will be back home on Tuesday, when the Providence Hall Patriots come to Price.

Game time is set for 4:00 p.m..
