
The Lady Spartans soccer team was looking to rebound from its loss to Richfield earlier in the week when they traveled to Nephi to face the Juab Wasps. Scoring once in each half and only surrendering one goal, they took the 2-1 win.
On Wednesday, the Lady Spartans were in Richfield to take on the Wildcats, suffering a 9-1 loss. Thursday, the Wasps were on the schedule, and Emery was looking to collect a win.
The Spartans came out in the first half, scoring once and allowing Juab one to go into the half tied. In the second half, the Lady Spartans took the lead and collected the 2-1 win to move to 3-1 this season.
Megan Stilson and Illyria Mason each collected goals in the win for Emery.
The Lady Spartans have two games coming up. On August 19, they will travel to face the Utah Military Academy/ Hill Field Thunderbirds, then on Friday, they will face the Millard Eagles on the road.
Emery won’t be back at home until August 25 to take on the Parowan Rams.
