Cathy Jean Keele Brown went on her angel flight August 11, 2025. I, Tracy held her hand the whole time until she was ready to be passed on to our mom and dad. Cathy was born October 16, 1958 at the Carbon Hospital in Price Utah, to Elfredia ‘Vicki” Victoria Orlandi and Lloyd Odell Keele.

Cath, Cathy Jean, or Cathy. It depended on the mood she was in as to which name she was being called by, or the mood of the person that was calling her name.

Cathy Jean was an amazing painter. Whether it was a realistic painting or an abstract painting. And if it wasn’t quite right while she was painting it, she would scrape off the paint and start all over again. Being the perfectionist she was she would paint it again until she was satisfied with it.

Cath was an accomplished skier. Whether it be waterskiing or snow skiing. She was on the Brighton ski patrol for twenty-eight years.

Cathy was never a shy one. She would say “If they haven’t seen it by now, they never will”. She never beat around the bush about anything. She said things the way they were, even if the person asking the question didn’t want to hear the answer she gave.

Cathy worked in the medical field for thirty five years. She would tell her family and close friends the hard to hear truth or the good news exactly the way it was. No candy coating anything.

Cathy and Don were not able to have children of there own, however they were able to adopt a baby from birth. Caycee was Cathy Jean’s pride and joy. In Cathy’s recent years Caycee took such great care of her. Caycee and her boyfriend, Clancy went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure Cathy was taken care of and more.

Cathy will be and already ìs terribly missed by all who knew her and especially her family. Cath’s husband Don – Midvale, daughter – Caycee Brown (Clancy Holz) – Midvale, sister, Tracy (Rick) Collins – Helper, Aunt Cathy (Ed) Cooper – West Jordan, Uncle Ricky (Kathy) Orlandi – West Jordan, sister-in-law LaRae (Bart) Hyde – Midvale, niece’s, nephew’s, and cousins.

Cathy is preceded in the passing of her mother and father, Nonnie and Grandpa Orlandi, Grandma Keele, Aunt Rita, and her fur babies, Mel, Major, Otis, Wish Bone, Pepper, and I’m even including Roy the cat, which they had a love, hate relationship.

As per Cathy Jean’s wishes, she opted for cremation. A celebration of her life will be held at 1898 West 9270 South, West Jordan, UT 84088 Parking on the street is allowed. The location is Bridlewood Villa. They will have refreshments. It will be September 6th from 11:00 to 3:00
