
Seven members of the Lady Dinos soccer squad scored at least one goal in Carbon’s rout of the Providence Hall Patriots on the road Tuesday as the Dinos exploded for 11 goals and held the Patriots scoreless in their 11-0 win.
Carbon has moved to 4-2, and with the game today, they have outscored their opponents 36-8, with four games left before Region 13 play starts on September 4th.
On Tuesday, Providence Hall didn’t have an answer for Carbon’s offensive onslaught, as the Lady Dinos scored all 11 goals in the opening half, and they were also able to hold the Patriots off the board, giving up only two shots on goal. In the second half, Carbon just maintained what they had built and cruised to the 11-0 win.
Both Malia Smith and Emma Bowman earned a hat trick in the game, scoring three goals each, with each collecting an assist. Bailey Johnson scored one goal and added two assists. Blythe Bradford, Chrissy Jones, and Naomi Smith each scored one goal apiece and had an assist, and Taree Pressett scored a goal. Hannah Norton, Kayla Jones, and Lydia Lancaster all collected one assist each in the win. Madi Barlow earned a shutout in goal.
Carbon will be on the road again on Thursday when they travel to take on the Wildcats in Richfield.
