
Continuing their road trip on Thursday, the Lady Dinos soccer squad traveled to a familiar site to face a team they are well-acquainted with, the Richfield Wildcats. No longer are they in the same region, but that doesn’t mean they might not meet up later in the playoffs, and this round went to Carbon 4-0.
The Dinos are coming off their big win at Providence Hall on Tuesday, 11-0. The trip to Richfield is the only time the two teams will face each other in the regular season, as Carbon moved to Region 13 and the Wildcats stayed in Region 12.
Carbon came out putting the first goal on the scoreboard in the first half to claim a 1-0 lead by halftime The second half was all Lady Dinos as they were able to find the back of the net on three occasions and all the while Madi Barlow in goal collected 11 saves to claim the 4-0 shutout win for Carbon.
Malia Smith found the back of the net twice for Carbon. Naomi Smith and Chrissy Jones collected one goal and one assist each. Bailey Johnson and Kayla Jones each collected assists in the win.
Carbon continues the road trip on Tuesday when they travel to Delta to face the Rabbits.
