The Utah State University Eastern women’s soccer team opened its season on Saturday, August 23, against USC Lancaster in a match that ended 3-0 in favor of the Eagles.
Cali Condie scored just three minutes into the match, marking a fast start to the season for Eastern. Defenses then dominated the rest of the first half as neither team scored, ending the half with a 1-0 score.
The second half started with another goal scored by Cali Condie two minutes into the second half.
Paisley Ashworth scored the dagger in the 85th minute to seal Eastern’s 3-0 win in their season opener.
The Eagles will next play a scrimmage against Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, CO, before hosting Eastern Arizona College in a non-conference matchup.
