The Lady Spartan soccer squad found themselves in Moab on Tuesday to face the Grand Red Devils. Emery has collected some impressive wins this season, but on the road against Grand, they struggled to find their offense and fell 6-1.

Emery has earned wins this season over Enterprise, San Juan, Juab, Utah Military Academy, and Parowan, moving their record to 5-3 overall.

In the first half, Grand jumped out, going up and down the pitch, using their offense to put three goals on the scoreboard and their defense to keep Emery off the scoreboard.

In the second half, the Lady Spartans were able to get on the board, but had no answers when it came to the Red Devils as they put three more goals on the board to close out Emery and take the 6-1 win.

Illyria Mason had the lone goal for the Spartans with an assist from Megan Stilson.

The Lady Spartans will now take some time off until after Labor Day, when they will travel to Delta to face the Rabbits on Tuesday, September 2.

Two days later, they jump into Region 13 play when they face the Lady Dinos from Carbon in Price.
