pbb-015-3

Coming off a win over Valley, the Panthers were on the road to face the Panguitch Bobcats on Wednesday. Panguitch is the defending 1A State Champion, so Pinnacle knew they would have their hands full, and that they did, as the Bobcats claimed a 15-0 win in four innings.

Pinnacle was coming off a 5-3 victory over Valley last Friday at home and had to travel to face Panguitch.

The Bobcats put up four runs in the first, five in the second, two in the third, and four more in the fourth inning. The Panthers had no answers for Panguitch as they were only able to collect a pair of hits in the contest, and defensively couldn’t overcome five errors in the loss.

Joey Howell and Brody Howell both went 1-2 in the contest for Pinnacle as the Panthers had no answers for the Panguitch duo of Traiger Ramsey and Casey Walter, who combined to collect two hits and 10 strikeouts on the mound.

Joey Howell was on the bump for Pinnacle, surrendering 15 runs, nine earned, on 16 hits, and struck out three.

It doesn’t get any easier for Pinnacle, as the team that lost to Panguitch in the championship game, Piute, will be in town on Friday.

Game time is set for 3:00 p.m..
