The Lady Dino volleyball squad was on the road Thursday to face the Draper American Preparatory Academy Eagles. The Eagles entered the contest with an 8-2 mark in 2A and quickly took over, handing Carbon a 3-0 loss.
Carbon sits at 3-5 overall as they prepare for Region 13 play, which begins on September 11 when Union comes to town. The Lady Dinos were relocated to a new region that includes Union, Emery, North Sanpete, and Manti.
Draper went to work quickly in the first set, handing Carbon a 25-10 loss. Set number two was a bit more competitive, but the Lady Dinos still struggled as the Eagles took a 25-17 victory. The third and final set almost turned the tide for Carbon as they pushed Draper to the brink, as the Eagles still held on to get a 29-27 win to close out the Dinos 3-0.
Carbon will get back on the court on Wednesday when they travel to take on the very familiar Richfield Wildcats. Richfield sits at 2-9 and will be coming off a loss to Pine View, 3-1.
After that game, the Lady Dinos will be off until they start the Region 13 season against Union at home. Gametime is set for 6:30
