Dana Lynn (Kelley) Alcon, age 42, passed away unexpectedly on September 4, 2025, in Provo, Utah due to injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident.
She was born July 7, 1983, in Price, Utah to Daniel and Verlyn Kelley.
Dana graduated from Carbon High School in 2001 and later received her bachelor’s degree in human resources from Utah State University. She was a proud member of SHRM continuing her HR knowledge and education.
Dana’s greatest joys in life were her beautiful daughters, Lilli, Annabella “Bella”, and Nece. They were her “lovely’s,” her light, and her drive every day. She was their biggest cheerleader and supporter, always thinking of fun activities and moving mountains to give them anything they needed.
She was an original hippy at heart. She loved all things, tie dye, sunflowers, bees, feathers, fairies, and anything Tom Petty. She was the best mom, daughter, and sister, and the most kindhearted person you could ever meet. She always met you with a great hug and that infectious smile. She was a self-proclaimed “rescuer,” always rooting for the underdog, bringing home strays, and looking for the good in every person no matter the circumstance.
Dana was a dedicated team member and loved her role on the HR team at Intermountain Electronics. She was one of IE’s greatest champions. She was so proud to recruit new team members, participate in career fairs, promote IE’s values, and support their goals. Thank you to the IE team for supporting her and offering her a great career.
She is survived by her daughters, Lilli Alcon and Annabella Kelley, Price, UT; daughter, Nece Alcon, Pheonix, AZ; parents, Dan and Verlyn Kelley, Price, UT; sisters, DeDe (Travis) Bryner, Spanish Fork, UT, Christin Anderson (Brandon Jackson), South Jordan, UT, and Korie (Brandon) Axelgard, Price, UT; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and her dog, Luna; all whom she loved dearly.
Preceded in death by her grandparents, Jack and Betty Kelley, Verl and Betty Huff; aunt, Sherry Renae Huff; uncle, Todd Huff; cousin, Derrek Huff; uncle, Tom Kelley; ex-husband, JJ Alcon; and her dog, Sol.
The family would like to extend sincere thanks to the first responders, Castleview Hospital, the wonderful staff at Utah Valley Hospital, and Bobby at Mitchell Funeral Home, for their exceptional care of our beautiful girl; and to the countless friends and family who have reached out.
Dana – words can’t describe how deeply you will be missed. We love you and will look for you in every sunflower field.
“You belong among the wildflowers,
You belong somewhere close to me,
Far away from your trouble and worry,
You belong somewhere you feel free.”
Per Dana’s wishes; a viewing will not be held. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Details will be provided to family and friends at that point. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Dana online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donating to www.foreverhusky.org, www.savethebees.com, or a non-profit or religious organization close to your heart that will help spread light and love just like Dana did each day.
