
Competition was tough on Tuesday at the Skyline Mountain Golf Course as teams from around the state took part in the North Sanpete Classic. American Fork earned the top spot on the girls’ side and Maple Mountain took first in the boys’ division, but Rozlyn Stowe earned another top finish for the Lady Dinos.
American Fork landed in first with Viewmont finishing second. Maple Mountain, Mountain Ridge, and North Summit rounded out the top five. Carbon finished ninth out of 15 schools.
Stowe claimed the top spot in the girls’ division with a time of 17:48.4, ahead of Skye Jensen of American Fork and her time of 18:16. Kiley Bishoff (40), Brettlee Kennedy (51), McKenzie Fredrickson (72), Kaylee Pitcher (72), Allie Bryner (78), and Alexa Jones (87) competed for the Lady Dinos in a field that had 112 runners.
Maple Mountain took first in the boys’ division, followed by Viewmont in second. Mountain Ridge and Tooele went third and fourth, respectively, with the Dinos finishing in fifth out of 16 teams.
Even Criddle was the top finisher for Carbon in 16th. Dallin Humes landed in 27th. Michael Weber(32), Samuel Wilson (35), Bracken Hanson (37), Seth Jenson (40), and Matthew Stromness (48) competed for the Dinos as well in a field of 112 runners.
The Dinos will be back at it on Saturday when they will take part in Border Wars at the Valley Regional Park in Taylorsville.
