The team had a solid weekend at Idaho State University’s rodeo in Pocatello. The long round went especially well and put several athletes in a great position.
Graycee Mills led the way in the breakaway with a 2nd-place finish in the first round and finished 6th in the average. Byron Christiansen rode strong in the Saddle Bronc, finishing 2nd in the first round and again 2nd in the short round. Saydee Davis was 3rd in the first round of barrel racing, then took 2nd in the short round to finish 2nd in the average.
In team roping, Howdy Jackson placed 3rd in the first round, and Stace Gilbert was 5th in the first round, but both had tough luck with their partners in the short round. Kaden Donathon rounded out the weekend with a 6th-place finish in the first round and 6th in the average.
All in all, it was a gritty weekend with strong performances in the long round, plenty of points, and momentum to build on heading into the next rodeo at UVU on September 19th-20th.
