
The Lady Dino tennis team was on the road in Mt. Pleasant on Tuesday to face the North Sanpete Hawks in a region meeting. The Dinos and Hawks tied in matches played, but North Sanpete came away with the win due to region play, as the third doubles match was dropped.
This marks back-to-back losses for the Lady Dinos to North Sanpete and Morgan. Carbon was riding a three-match win streak, earning wins against Manti and a pair of victories over Union. The season wraps up on October 10 & 11 at Liberty Park in Salt Lake.
Ireland Keil was the sole Lady Dino singles player to claim a victory in her first singles match with Madison Shelley in straight sets, 6-1 and 6-2.
Emily Dufour and Gianna Valdez earned a win in their first doubles match against Afton Cook and Regan Anderson, 6-1 and 6-2, and Jocelyn Dimisck and Kambree Hoffman took the victory in their third doubles match with Rya Perry and Aspen Olsen, 6-3 and 6-1.
The Lady Dinos will be on the road once again on Thursday when they travel to South Sevier.
