
Emery girls’ volleyball traveled to Manti on Tuesday to face the Templars. Emery was able to collect a win in the second set, but the Templars closed the door on the Spartans and claimed the 3-1 victory in Region 13 play.
The Lady Spartans are 6-5 overall, with a 0-1 record, and currently hold the No. 8 spot in the latest rankings. The Templars sit at 3-8 overall and 1-1 in league play and the no. 14 spot.
Manti came out in the first set to take a 25-19 win. Set number two was just as close, with the Spartans taking a 25-21 win, to even the match.
The following two sets were about Manti as the Templars came out in set three to take a 25-17 win. Set four went to the Templars by the same 25-17 score, and they claimed the 3-1 match victory.
Eemry still has a little over a month and a half left in the season, which won’t come to a close until October 27 & 28 at Utah Valley University.
Emery is back on the floor on Thursday, when they will welcome Union to the Spartan Center.
